2019 REGULATIONS GOVERNING OPERATION OF McCALL GOLF CLUB
PARTICIPATION
The Athletic Association (AA) is organized and operated according to the bylaws of the PECO Energy Company Beneficial Association (BA). The BA extends benefits to the employees of Exelon Corporation and its wholly owned subsidiary companies who work in the southeastern Pennsylvania area.
All regular full-time and regular part-time employees of companies supported by the BA, employees’ spouses, and Service Annuitants (including spouses) are eligible to participate in the Athletic Association upon payment of appropriate dues. Regular full-time and part-time employees may participate in all Athletic Association sponsored activities. Service Annuitants, spouses of Annuitants and employees, and children may not participate in any contact sport.
PARTICIPANT DUES
AA dues for the year 2019 are $32 for employees and an annual fee of $32 for spouses of employee members. There are no 2018 dues for children or annuitants and their spouses.
Golf bag tags, allowing unrestricted play through February, 2020, may be purchased for $575 in the Pro Shop at McCall Golf Club. Only employees and spouses of employees who have already paid their Athletic Association dues along with annuitants and their spouses may purchase a $575 bag tag.
Beginning March 1, 2019, golfers wishing to purchase a 2019 bag tag need to:
Display some sort of picture identification (Company picture ID, driver’s license, the 2017 bag tag with picture, passport, etc.). Annuitants also need to show their Service Annuity Card or Courtesy Card.
Pay $575 by VISA/MC, or check made payable to PECO Energy Company Beneficial Association.
If you play golf infrequently and do not wish to purchase a bag tag, employees, annuitants, and their spouses can still play at McCall Golf Course and bring guests. You will need to show your Company picture ID, your Service Annuity Card with picture ID, or your Courtesy Card with picture ID to the Pro Shop Attendant and pay the applicable guest/green fee (see Guests – Restrictions & Fees Section).
JUNIOR GOLF MEMBERSHIP
Memberships are available for children of employees and annuitants who are between 13 and 25 years old and claimed as a dependent by the member. This privilege is also extended to grandchildren of members who serve as their legal guardians. These junior memberships will enable young golfers to play at McCall Golf Country Club. The following requirements and restrictions are:
Parent or guardian must be an Athletic Association (AA) participant.
AA member parent or guardian must accompany child to McCall Golf Course for registration (begins March 1, 2018).
Appropriate identification must be presented
Service Annuity card or Company ID
Proof of age of junior applicant
$125 annual golf dues per child (picture ID will be issued).
Unescorted play will be allowed after meeting the Golf Pro assessing minimum playing and decorum criteria.
Play restricted to after 12 noon on weekends and Company holidays and after 9 AM on weekdays (except Wednesdays).
Persons 18 years of age or older can play during regular times with parent or guardian by paying regular guest fees.
Parent or guardian will be responsible for junior member’s conduct.
Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) memberships are available at no cost to juniors under the age of 18.
ASSOCIATE GOLF MEMBERSHIP
Non-AA participants are permitted the use of the golf course and tennis courts upon successful completion of the membership application and review process and payment of a $2,000 annual fee.
The Associate Membership program allows for two Family Membership options as follows:
Family Membership consists of a spouse and up to two (2) dependent juniors. A junior being between the ages of 13 and 25 and claimed as a dependent of the Associate member. Prior to unescorted access to the course, the Golf Pro will determine if the junior is proficient in minimum playing and decorum criteria.
Cost: An additional $1,035 includes spouse and up to two (2) dependent juniors. Additional juniors can be added at $250 each subject to the same age and proficiency minimums.
Junior Membership for families whose spouse will not be participating in a family membership, dependent juniors, meeting the above criteria, can be added to the Associate’s membership.
Cost: An additional $500 per dependent junior.
The Associate Golf Member is provided the following privileges.
Unlimited golf
Ability to bring up to 3 guests
Participation in golf events and tennis courts
Member prices for Pro Shop merchandise
The Associate Golf Member must comply with all the rules and regulations of the Athletic Association.
The Associate Golf Member is encouraged to be on the Golf Committee but is not eligible to vote on pending matters, issues or topics concerning the AA or BA. Participation in other AA leagues is allowed as a guest of the AA and requires separate activity fees for each activity for each season.
CORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS
Corporate memberships are available at a cost of $5,210 (Up to 4 golfers; $2,210 for the 1st golfer, $1,000 for additional golfers). Each corporate membership would be open to four employees signing up for bag tags. Proof of employment is required.
LOCKER FEES
Men’s locker fees for 2019 are $35. Second lockers are available for $25. Women’s locker fees for 2018 are $25.
PARTICIPANT’S IDENTIFICATION
Participants are required to sign the registration book located in the Pro Shop prior to engaging in any activity at McCall Golf Club. During the winter months when the Pro Shop is closed, please sign the registration book outside the member’s lounge in the Conference Center.
Participants are also required to carry their Company ID card whenever they visit McCall Golf & Country Club. Service Annuitants should carry their Service Annuity Card and spouses of Annuitants should carry their Courtesy Card. Those playing golf must display their photo bag tag or guest/green fee tag prominently on their golf bag.
Proper ID must be presented when requested to do so by another member, McCall Golf Club personnel, or course marshall.
GUESTS – RESTRICTIONS & FEES
Participants of the Athletic Association and courtesy members are permitted a maximum of three (3) guests for golf or tennis and must observe the established time regulations.
Junior members, under the age of 16, are permitted a maximum of one (1) guest and must observe the restricted time regulations.
The Manager of the Athletic Association can make arrangements for special guests by providing a guest ticket. Special guests are required to observe all Athletic Association rules.
All guests must be accompanied by and play with an employee or Athletic Association participant, unless registered as a special guest. All guests must have their own golf clubs, no playing out of participant’s bag. Golf clubs are available for rent from the Pro Shop.
Guest tickets must be purchased before commencing play. Employees who are not in the Athletic Association are permitted use of the golf course and the tennis courts upon payment of guest fees in accordance with prevailing rates for the activities. In addition, such employees who are not in the Athletic Association are permitted three (3) guests for golf or tennis. These employees must show their Company ID prior to purchasing guest tickets.
From April 1 through October 31, guest/green fees for golf are $40 (Monday-Thursday) and $45 (Friday-Sunday) and Company holidays. From November 1 through March 31, the fee may be listed at a reduced rate. Guest fees for tennis will be $5 throughout the year.
No food and beverages may be brought in from the outside to McCall property. All food and beverage consumed must be purchased through McCall Golf & Country Club.
CHILDREN
Children 7 to 17 years of age who are claimed as a dependent, accompanied by and playing with a participating parent or guardian, are permitted use of the golf course upon payment of a $10 guest fee. Hours of play on weekdays can begin at 8:00 AM. Hours of play on Saturdays, Sundays, and Company holidays may commence at 10:00 AM. Junior golfers who have passed all the requirements and have purchased a $125 bag tag, can play unescorted after 12 noon on weekends and Company holidays and after 9:00 AM on weekdays (except Wednesdays). Dependent juniors, ages 18-25 who are not members may play with a parent or guardian at any time by paying the full guest rate fee.
SONS AND DAUGHTERS – ARMED FORCES
Sons and daughters of AA participants who are actively serving in the Armed Forces, accompanied by and playing with a participating parent, will be permitted the use of McCall Golf & Country Club for golf and tennis throughout the entire year without restriction as to the time of day or day of the week, without payment of any fee. This privilege may be obtained by calling the Pro Shop at McCall Golf & Country Club at (610) 734-7903 or (610) 734-7924.
EMPLOYEES ON MILITARY LEAVE
Any employee on leave of absence to serve in the Armed Forces may be permitted the use of McCall Golf & Country Club for golf and tennis, without restriction as to the time of day or day of the week, without payment of any fee. Permission must be obtained by calling the Pro Shop at (610) 734-7903 or (610) 734-7924.
McCALL GC WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION
Wednesday is ladies day at McCall Golf Club; therefore, the 1st tee will be closed for their use between 8:15 and 10:00 AM or as posted at the tee.
PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEES/COURTESY MEMBERS
Probationary employees and Courtesy members may not participate in any contact sports; specifically, flag football, softball, and basketball.
CONTRACTORS
Contractors are eligible to play in the basketball and softball leagues as guests as long as the following requirements are met.
Be employed at a Company facility for six months. If employment is terminated, the contractor must give up playing in league.
Be sponsored by an AA member who is participating in same sport.
Pay activity fee of $32.
Sign a waiver.
SOFTBALL FIELDS
Use of the No. 1 and/or No. 2 softball diamonds and fields requires permission from the Director of Golf & Facilities or his designated representative.
VIOLATION OF RULES & REGULATIONS
When picking up your bag tag at the beginning of the season you should receive an updated copy of the rules & etiquette.
GOLF COURSE ETIQUETTE AND MANAGEMENT
Proper golf course etiquette will be followed at all times by all members and their guests as stated in the 2019 rules sheet.
Golfers are required to dress appropriately. Tee shirts, jeans or cut-off jeans, short shorts, tennis shorts, fishnet shirts, swim suits, tank tops, tennis skirts, halter tops, and tube tops are considered inappropriate. A golf shirt or a shirt with a collar, turtleneck, sweater, golf skirts, slacks, long pants or Bermuda length shorts are required and expected. Check with the Pro Shop if you have any questions. You will be asked to leave for violations. Remember all members are responsible for their guests!
The use of penetrating metal spikes is prohibited. Spikeless cleats are required and are available in the Pro Shop. Facilities are available to make your changeover easy.
On all holes, a soil and seed box will be provided to fill divot holes on the tees. Please use this convenience to assist in maintaining the course. Also, golfers are expected to replace fairway divots, rake sand traps, and fix ball marks on greens. If you have questions concerning proper etiquette, please see a member of the McCall Golf Course Staff or the Golf Committee.
GOLF COURSE CLOSING
During adverse weather conditions, including winter ground thawing, the General Manager, the Director of Golf & Facilities, or his designated representative, reserve the right to close a portion or all of the golf course. The course will be reopened for play at the discretion of the Director or his designated representative.
The golf course will be closed on Mondays (April through October), except Company holidays, until noon to allow for course maintenance. From November to March, the course is closed until 12:00 noon on Mondays. Every effort will be made to post closing notices on Clubhouse bulletin boards, and this website and the use of the green/red/yellow flag on the first tee. There are occasions when the course, or a portion of it, may be closed for special golf tournaments. Advance notice will be posted in the Clubhouse and Pro Shop. RESTAURANT & MEETING FACILITIES
The restaurant facility and meeting space are available all year for training sessions, departmental meetings, and other functions. AA Members, Associate Golf Members, employees, and the general public can also arrange for business or social functions at the facility. Reservations for all functions can be made by calling the Food & Beverage Manager at (610) 734-7900or the Marketing Director at (610) 734-7934.

Restaurant hours of operation are subject to change. All facilities may be closed during normal operating hours due to inclement weather.
During the months of January & February the Clubhouse is closed on Mondays and at 4:00 PM the rest of the week.
HEALTH AND FITNESS CENTER
A fitness center, located adjacent to the men’s locker room, is provided for use by all members. Enrollment requires a physical assessment by the professional trainer, doctor approval, and waiver of liability for injury which must be submitted to Debbie Valinsky. The program provides strength and cardiovascular training equipment, personalized workout programs, and professional instruction on a part-time basis or by appointment.
Guests are not permitted to use the fitness equipment. Shirts are required to be worn in the center.
